She is getting closer to walking. She can now stand on her own for longer stretches of time and just this weekend took a couple of unassisted steps between Mommy and Daddy. Maybe by the time school is out, she'll be full-on walking. It seems that Adeline is a late bloomer in more than one way. She only recently began "sleeping through the night" and I use that term loosely. She goes down to bed between 6:30 and 7:00 (early,I know, but she's an absolute mess if she's up later than this). She'll sleep until 5:30 or 6:00 about 75% of the time and wake up once or twice the other 25%. Mommy decided not to fight it until school was out. She said she was a nicer teacher when she didn't have to fight two-hour screaming bouts in the middle of the night. Adeline doesn't have a ton of words, but she definitely knows how to communicate. She can say "Mama" "Daddy" "Doggy" and she has a funny shriek for "Ball." She also has a few signs that she uses to talk to us. This week she turns 14 months, but her adjusted age is 13 months. She is definitely turning from a baby into a little girl...
