Logan here! Mommy and Daddy got to go to the doctor today and they brought home pictures of my little brother (or sister, but I'm sure it's a BOY!). The doctor said that everything looks perfect and the baby is measuring right on schedule. Mommy and Daddy got to see the heartbeat and it was beating at 126 beats per minute. They said that it looked like a little flash on the screen. In the picture of the baby, you can see both the baby and the yolk sac. The baby is the long, skinny thing on the left. The yolk sac is the egg-looking thing on the right. The yolk sac is what provides the baby some of its nourishment until the placenta is fully developed. Eventually, the yolk sac will be reabsorbed into the baby's body to form the bowel, liver, lungs, and bladder. (I know- I'm one smart doggy!!) Then there's Mommy with her expanding belly. Although the baby isn't big enough to be making a difference in the size of her tummy, it is causing things to happen to her body which are making her belly grow (ie: bloating!!). She continues wearing stretchy maternity pants because her normal pants barely button at all. As Bear mentioned in his post, Mommy is finally experiencing morning sickness- and she thought she was going to be one of the lucky ones! She tries hard to move on with her day, but sometimes that ornery little "boy" makes it unbearable. She said that once she saw that heart beating, everything is worth it and she'd throw up a hundred more times (which at this rate, she just might)!! That's it for now. Mommy and Daddy go back to the doctor on September 7th, but I'm sure Bear or I will have something interesting to say between now and then...

Katie, you look lovely and "Pete" is a very handsome little one! Dad says he is sure you can do this like the women in Viet Nam! You go Girl.
