She laughed at Mommy's outfit (Cindy Lou-Who from "How the Grinch stole Christmas") and then had a yummy orange-and-black dinner, a Volmer tradition! This included open-faced hamburgers with jack-o-lantern cheese faces, carrots, black olives, cheetos, orange jello with plastic spiders, orange soda, and dirt cups for dessert! YUM!
Then we headed out to Trick-or-Treat (or "treat-treat" as Adeline called it). She wore the Raggedy Ann costume that Nana made for Aunt Amanda in 1978 and that all the Volmer girls (including Mommy) and Volmer granddaughters have worn. She was not too pleased with the wig, though.
She mostly wanted to walk around without the wig. If you look closely, you can she Raggedy Ann's freckles and Snow White in the background (another Nana-made costume!!)
Adeline did enjoy knocking on the doors. Here you can see Mommy sneaking up behind and trying to throw the wig on at the last minute. This worked most of the time!! She was so excited to get to knock on the door that she didn't care.
And for those of you who were wondering.....Daddy dressed up as a "disgruntled teacher" on Halloween!
